The Sports for the World's Children Foundation presents its
11th Annual
They Are Worthy!
Benefit Softball Tournament
(slow pitch softball, double elimination or round robin)
Bring your gently used sports equipment! All donated equipment and proceeds from the tournament go to providing kids (and communities and schools) with much needed sports equipment (used and new), facilities, skills training clinics, and mentoring programs. Equipment needed: baseballs, bases, basketballs, basketball rims, bats, batting gloves, catchers' gear, Frisbees, hats, mitts, playground/rubber balls, soccer balls, soccer nets, softballs, sports trading cards, sports uniforms (at least 5 alike), volleyballs, volleyball nets, etc.
T-shirts awarded to championship teams. Great All-Star and raffle prizes (all participants on rosters eligible), plus more...
When: Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13
Where: Moscone Recreation Center, San Francisco
Cost: $320 per team, $300 by earlybird deadline
Divisions: Coed upper & lower, Men's D & DD/C

Since its inception in 1997, SWC has served over 15,100 children (ages 5-18) in the United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Uganda by providing them with thousands of pounds of sports equipment and sports skills training and mentoring programs through its “Communities Play” Program.
Sports for the World’s Children Foundation is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation, tax ID #94-3274922. SWC’s mission is:
To provide, through charitable contributions, used and new sports equipment, facilities, and instruction as well as educational materials and supplies to children with limited resources;
To teach and promote, through sports, physical and mental well-being, spirited competition, fairness, respect, and camaraderie and goodwill between communities and countries;
To empower those communities, through the participation in sports and education, to sustain ongoing sports programs for the children; and
To foster lifelong friendships. |

64 costumed co-ed teams compete to qualify for the World Series of Beer Pong in Las Vegas. Doors open at 5:00 PM for spectators.
• 9:00 PM - 12:00 AM. The Dance Party begins! Featuring: Pop Rocks.
